How We Classify Your Data
Level 1: Public Trust Data
Information intentionally displayed on your organisation’s public trust page, such as safeguarding contacts and policy status.
Encryption at Rest: Even public data is encrypted at the database level (AES-256), ensuring it is only accessible when served through the Child Safe Sport website.
Level 2: Personal Information
Sensitive contact details, Dates of Birth, and Blue Card/WWCC numbers for staff and volunteers.
Application-Level Encryption: High-value identifiers are encrypted before they reach the database.
Level 3: Child Safety Reports
Highly sensitive disclosures relating to child safety, misconduct concerns, or wellbeing matters.
Protected Access Model: Child safety reports are encrypted and designed so that only your organisation’s designated safeguarding personnel or MPIO can access report contents through the platform.
Who We Share Information With
We do not sell personal information.
Information may be shared where necessary with:
- • Your sporting organisation and its authorised safeguarding personnel
- • Trusted technology providers that help us securely operate the platform
- • Government authorities or law enforcement where required by law
Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as necessary to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain safeguarding records where appropriate.
Overseas Processing
Some technology providers we use may store or process data outside Australia. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate privacy and security protections are in place.

We prioritize your privacy by keeping our technical footprint minimal. We use essential cookies only to ensure platform security, verify your session, and protect your data during your visit.
